Plurk..plurk..and plurking :D

Friday, August 14, 2009

i have different opinions about microblogging service with anton who's like tweeting..i think plurking is more fun than tweeting. why plurk?

Plurk is basically the same as Twitter but with a “timeline” thrown in. Exclusively confined to the website at the moment (there aren’t any Plurk desktop apps right now - yet), you are able to say to the world what you are doing, how you are feeling, what you want, and much more. You can even share weblinks such as YouTube videos - which are playable inside the timeline.

When you are in Plurk for the first time, it will be just like Twitter - it will be quiet because you won’t know anyone (except for “PlurkBuddy” who is there to dispense some friendly advice to you). All you have to do just find or invite your friends, do plurking, and being active to increase your karma. Karma are points you can use to open more features available on Plurk.

Need plurk themes?! check this:

Fun With Twittering

Wednesday, July 15, 2009
Suddenly I'm getting upset with my own activity with the Facebook, maybe because my pals activities are not as much as before, well it's must be we're at the end of the line for the graduation, so they burn the midnight oil and less Facebook-ing.

Try to find another activity, I found the email from my friend invite me to join Twitter, so I began Twitting from that day on. Well, it's kinda fun, here's the fact I found on Twitter :
  • You could follow a lot of public figure here, they update the status more often than they do at the other social networking (seems so).

  • If you want to follow public figure, make sure the word "Verified Account" exist at their pages, that means the person is updating the status by his/herself.

  • If you want to post a link, make it short with link shortener service, for example Tiny URL, you just have 140 characters to write, don't waste it with a long URL.

  • I prefer Twittering by mobile phone more than on my desktop, why? Because when you are in front of desktop, you've got blog to tell longer stories.

Have fun with Twitter!

The Awesome Polaroid Look-a-Like

Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Don't have any polaroid camera?!
You can download and try the awesome poladroid beta software.

Poladroid creates Polaroid-style images from your photos. It's so easy and a lot of fun. Drop your photos onto the Poladroid "camera," and after a few seconds, it spits out your unprocessed print. Watch it slowly "develop," or speed up the process by -- you guessed it -- shaking vigorously.

You can create an image at any stage in your print's development by double-clicking and selecting "Take a sample." When your print is fully ready, a red "x" appears on the bottom.

This application, while in beta, is a whole lot of fun. I dropped a dozen pictures onto it in the first five minutes and the results are so great.

Look my result :

Don't Let PolaroiD die..!

Wednesday, May 6, 2009
For a generation, the Polaroid camera gave near-instant pleasure to millions of users around the world, but when digital photography came along in the 1990s – with instant images and the ability to edit and delete pictures before they see the light of day – Polaroid was doomed, its iconic white-framed snaps apparently defunct.

When Polaroid announced last February that it would stop production of its instant film, it seemed the much-loved camera was gone forever.

Why save Polaroid Film?!
It is extremely difficult to come to any sort of consensus about this question – “Why Save Polaroid Film?” In fact, there are as many reasons to save Polaroid film as there are people who use it.

"Polaroid film and the process of making photographs with Polaroid film is inherently imperfect. These imperfections make every Polaroid a unique piece, never to be replicated exactly." dave

"..watching a Polaroid picture develop is like watching a memory form right before your eyes. It appears out of a hazy nothingness and slowly forms into a beautiful but often imperfect image. A picture that mirrors the imperfections of life and memory." Sean

"I must confess, I am in love with the square. As in square format photography. And no other camera has promulgated the square as widely or as faithfully as the Polaroid SX-70/680 series. I cannot imagine framing an image any other way. Losing these cameras from my arsenal reduces, in my eyes, my artistic choices." Tod

"..why should those of us who shoot instant film have to give that up? I don’t want my instant cameras to turn into nothing but collector’s items! Before there was digital, there was Polaroid. Let’s keep instant film alive." Shelly

"Polaroid is personal. It happens in your body and your hands, from eye to machine to finger, needing no external interference, no other intelligence. Polaroid is unique. There will never be another image exactly like the one that just shot out of your camera and that developed as you watched. There are no reprints, only reproductions. This one is all you get; good or bad, perfect or (most likely) not. Like so many things in life, it is what you make of it." Cait

What can you do?!

Film Destroyers Experiment

Friday, April 3, 2009
Many things that we can do to get an incredible and unpredictable photos by film destroyers.

I found an artist, names Felixfenix's. Felix is a genius. Her mind seems to be endlessly stocked with brilliance, and she weeps talent all over her stream. Her photos are full of creativity. it's as if internal daydreams were captured with a camera. I love how experimental she is. coloring photos with food coloring, using double exposures to capture the mind's eye in bright colors.
I love that she uses film, she proves to the world that photos taken pure organically without processing can still blow minds.

honest scrapt award :)

Saturday, March 28, 2009
Thanks a lot to Fine living Tina for giving this award to me :D
“This award is bestowed upon a fellow blogger whose blog’s content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant.”

“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!”

Now, here are the 10 honest things about me:

My 10 Honest Things:
1) I don’t like vegetables.
2) I'm a dreamer.
3) I love reading comics and watching movies.
4) My favorite animal is hippopotamus.
5) I love music and singing when I'm alone in my room.
6) lot of my friend say that i'm a gambler. not a real gambler, but a gambler when making some decision.
7) i'm a harry potter fan. i can't wait to watch the next harry potter movie.
8) i'm a pet society addict.
9) i love my friends. My friends keep me going, gimme a reason to live.
10) I am addicted to my pc. Can't imagine my life without it.

Dragonball Evolution - from manga into live action movie!!

Sunday, March 22, 2009
Dragonball Evolution is based on the popular Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama, whose work spawned best selling graphic novels, video games and a phenomenally successful television series. The live action adventure centers on a team of warriors, each of whom possesses special abilities. Together, they protect Earth from a force bent on dominating the Universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name.

This Film premieres in April 8th, 2009.

  • Genre:Action and Adventure
  • Director:James Wong
  • Cast:Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura

I have seen many live action movie adapted from manga and i think that is great even not every single character looked exactly like they did in the original manga... but that doesn't really matter. I can't wait to watch this movie..

enjoy the trailer :D

D.I.Y Paper Sculpture

Tuesday, March 17, 2009
Do you want to create an unique sculpture from junk mail and other useless papers? ..but before that you must see the paste recipes first that will make a very strong bond with the paper, and will dry clear so you don't see the paste itself after the project is done.
>> how to make glue-based paper mache paste (video) or the another recipes
>> how to make paper mache sclupture :

  • If your glue-water-paper ratio doesn't work, but you really like how it turned out, try cutting off the plastic to which it became stuck.
  • If you want to cover your junk paper with a different color, try mixing a little acrylic paint with the glue-water mixture.
  • When your sculpture is done, it will be delicate. If you don't like it, play around with the amount of water, glue, and paper.
  • Immediately wash the bowl and colander you used with soap to prevent the glue from drying and sticking.

Thanks to wikihow and ultimate paper mache for the tutorials :D

my award :)
